Range Rover Discovery at the end of a 4-year lease. Light scratches, bird mess, missing parcel shelf -- all manageable. Gary outlines what to fix to stay below the recharge threshold.
This Range Rover Discovery was at the end of a four-year lease. For a car that had been owned and driven for four years, it was in good shape -- a few light scratches, some bird mess marks, and a parcel shelf missing from the boot. None of it was serious.
The plan: polish out the scratches, give the car a clean and vac, touch in any paint chips, and get the parcel shelf sourced and replaced. With those straightforward items done, the car should hand back without triggering a recharge. The lease company sees a car in decent condition and does not go looking for reasons to bill.
