Toyota RAV4 pre-return inspection. Gary and Tom identify the chargeable items and repair selectively to get below the lease company's recharge threshold.
This Toyota RAV4 came in for a pre-return inspection. The car was in decent condition overall with a few small scratches and marks that Gary and Tom identified and addressed during the visit.
The strategy on lease returns is consistent: find the items that are clearly chargeable, repair those that are cheap and effective to fix, and leave anything where the repair cost would approach or exceed the likely recharge. By knocking the obvious items off the list, the aim is to land below the threshold that triggers a bill -- at which point the remaining small damage just disappears from the inspector's report.
Our end-of-lease inspections are aimed at saving you money, not at producing a perfect car.
