Volvo XC90 lease return. Rear scratch polished out with machine polish and touch-up paint -- cheaper than a respray and cheaper than accepting the recharge.
This Volvo XC90 came in for a lease return with a scratch on the rear panel and some minor marks elsewhere. We were able to polish out the scratch and do some cosmetic touch-up work -- a combination of machine polishing and touch-up paint. The result was far better than attempting to respray the panel, and considerably cheaper than accepting the lease company's recharge rate.
The aim of an end-of-lease inspection is always to save the customer money, not to produce a perfect car.
