This Mini Convertible had water leaking in and both front foot wells had wet carpets. We found the door and boot rubbers were loose and not sealed in properly.
We also found that the roof rubbers across the tops of the doors were distorted and not doing their job of channelling the water away from the windows. The car also had mould caused by standing water, which in turn caused bad odours.
We properly fitted the door rubbers, and cleaned and conditioned the roof rubbers to solve the leak. We also recommended waterproofing the locator studs on the door pillars, as this is a common problem on Minis.
After fixing the leaks, the interior was decontaminated, shampooed and dried to prevent mould.
