Mazda MX5 2008 | Water Leak Found (part 2)

0:00 Right, OK, so back onto the MX5, so we're now going to show you inside the boot area. We're going to focus on the driver's rear quarter, and if I quickly show you inside first of all. So we've took the plastics out, we can't find any leaks on the light itself, but if you can see there, someone has been in and drilled a hole in the bodywork. So we've got a big hole here, and if we look very closely, we've got another big hole up here as well. So someone's drilled into the bodywork, and basically what

0:33 that's doing is, if I pour some water just on the outside of the light and then go on the inside, we can see that it's coming directly through both of them holes. And so that's a bit of an issue there, and we can see obviously the puddle collecting now. And if we just quickly come over to the passenger side, we're going to focus on this little square thing here. This is your air vent, which is behind the rear bumper. We can see that this one's got two tags on it

1:02 and it doesn't seem to be moving or leaking. If we come over to this side here, we can see that there's a tab missing, so it's possibly been broke. And the only thing is, because that tabs missing, this rear air vent is not held in properly. So basically what that's going to cause is, as soon as we put water on the outside, it is then going to make its way in, as quick as that. So that's them ones there, and so we'll carry on with the next legs.
