0:00 OK, so we've got a MX5 in today for our water leak procedure, so we're just going to show you obviously what we've found so far. We've checked underneath both sides of the carpets, and both sides of the carpets are bone dry, so that's good. So it's possible that this has been caught obviously nice and early, so we haven't got to go through all the procedure of drying and decontamination. It has had a UVA fog before we start working on it. If we just come round to the passenger side, the customer did notice that at the bottom
0:31 of the glove box, it had a little drip coming down here. And what I've done is I've put our Twisty camera up underneath the dashboard. And what that will reveal is behind this little screw, there's a little grommet. So if we look on the screen now, what I'm going to do is I'm going to just put a little bit of water just on the top of the screw there.
0:53 can see that the caps got some sticky flex on it to stop it from obviously flying off, because it's obviously been snapped previously. So if we just go and have a look there, so we can see that the water is dropping off into the car. There we go, so it's just about to drip now, and you can see all the dirt and debris around the clip as well. And then what that will then do is it will exit from this point here and come out of here and then drop down, and then
1:27 and it would then start filling up the footwells. But as I say, it's all nice and dry here, so that's a good sign. So that would be the main leak on that one there. Just coming up onto the rubbers, the rubbers look very dry. There don't seem to be any wear and tear marks, but obviously because it's a cabriolet roof, they're not exactly making the best seal.
1:49 It doesn't seem to be leaking at the time being. All the drainage systems are running fine. There is one problem with the driver's rear drain, but I will go on to that in a second. So obviously it could do with cleaning the rubbers and Krytox. Krytox obviously rejuvenates the rubber, makes it nice and plump and feeds it.
2:08 So what we're gonna do now is I'm just gonna open the roof, cabriolet roof up, and quickly show you what's going on with the driver's rear drain. It's nothing major, because it's not caused any water to come in the car. But if we just quickly lift up the back hatch. So we've got the back hatch here.
2:28 So we've got a drainage system here, and we've got drainage system here, and same on the other side. If we look on the other side, we can see, if I just put you in there a second, we have a drainage pipe going up here, which goes onto this bit here.
2:49 And also we have the runoff, which then goes into the drainage down the bottom there. If we look on the driver's side, we can see that the hose has come off of where the drain obviously runs off, and you can see where it runs off down the bottom there.
