0:00 OK, we've got Volkswagen Passat in today for our water leak procedure. So we're just going to show you what we've found so far. If we put our bottle up in the sunroof cassette to begin with, we can see that the sunroof drain isn't actually draining out. So what we're going to do is we're going to fill this cassette up. So we can see that the water's filling up in here, but it's not running away, it's actually staying there. So what that's doing is it's backing up on itself, and then it will come down the A pillars. So we've caught that
0:32 one a bit early. As we can see, there's no drips coming out from the front of the arch. If we now come round to the passenger side and just do the same thing. So we're fill our cassette up, and this one's actually leaking out of the bottom of the arch. So we can see that the water's run away, and then that then exits underneath the arch. So we've got one blockage on the front. And if we come round to the drivers rear door membrane, we've got a little lever down

So if we just chuck some water down the back of the window, just simulating this out that it's raining, and we come down on the inside, so we're actually getting leaks at the bottom of this door card. So we can see obviously the drip marks coming out the bottom here. It's not major, but obviously there's run marks coming down here, so this one's leaking. But the other one seemed to be fine, and can't feel any dampness underneath this carpet on the driver's rear. If we go back round to the passenger, originally the water was coming
1:51 out from the inside of this panel, just out of here. And as we can feel, the carpets are wet, and that's wet front to back. So we have to take the seat out, get the carpet out and get it obviously all dried for the customer. I believe the problem with that one now, someone has deblocked the scuttle drain. What happens on these ones is once the scuttle area gets blocked with a load of debris, and we have a pollen housing filter in there, and basically what it does is the pollen housing filter then leaks into the car,
2:24 so that would obviously correspond with the evidence we was getting. And so we recommend to take this scuttle area off, clean it all up, reseal the pollen housing filter, as well as reseal the blanking plate on the driver's side. Another one on these ones are the rear air vents behind the rear bumper. On the test we can't see that they're leaking, just like the rear lights; there's no sign of any water in the box sections as well. And but what we're going to suggest to do is
2:52 obviously take the rear bumper off and replace the rear air vents, only because it's 2015. And so that's everything we've found so far, okay. Oh, and the sunroof as well, we're going to deblock, clean the cassette and flush it through with a special product, so any dirt or anything like that will obviously come out.
