We thought we should share this video as it shows two leaks which are common to the Zafira which are not usually found on other cars.
Furthermore, the car didn't have any of the common leaks we find on almost all cars. Also of note, the customer says that he approached several garages who were all reluctant to get involved. This is common and we hear this regularly. Finding the leaks is often the hardest part, but once found they can sometimes be very simple to fix. Other times there are multiple leaks, difficult to find, and the repairs are not so straightforward. And most garages neither have the equipment or time and space for drying cars. This is why we specialize in leak repairs.
The rubber boot that covers the wires from the door body to door had shrunk and come loose allowing ingress. Often we would recommend replacing these types of fittings, but to do so would mean disconnecting all the wires so we could feed them through the new boot. This is a lot of work which costs time and money, so in this case we advised that we recondition the rubber and seal it with a high quality automotive sealant.
We also did the same for the two grommets on the central door pillars. The car was then disinfected, dried and tested under our rain arch before returning to the customer.
